Resources and AAPCHO Statement to Members on U.S. Childhood Immunization Schedule

The Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) reaffirms the importance of following evidence-based scientific recommendations regarding the U.S. childhood immunization schedule. Vaccines are the most effective tool to avoid preventable diseases in children. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) have not changed vaccine recommendations for newborns, children, and adolescents in clinical practice, and clinicians should continue following the established vaccine schedule.

Childhood and adolescent vaccines recommended by CDC and AAP continue to be covered with no cost sharing by ACA and commercial health insurance plans in 2026.

As recommended by CDC and AAP, clinicians caring for children should continue to provide universal birth dose and childhood hepatitis B vaccination, universal measles, mumps and rubella vaccination using the combined MMR or MMRV vaccines commercially available in the United States, and all other childhood vaccines. It is safe to administer multiple vaccines at a single clinic visit.
