WASHINGTON—The Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) issued the following statement on President Biden’s nomination of Julie Su as Secretary of Labor.

Jeffrey B. Caballero, MPH, AAPCHO’s executive director, said,

“AAPCHO strongly supports President Biden’s nomination of Julie Su as the next Secretary of Labor. Ms. Su is exceptionally qualified to lead the Labor Department and advance important initiatives to address labor challenges, especially in our health and mental health workforce. We are confident her lived experiences and expertise will provide important perspectives as a member of the president’s cabinet, especially for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. AAPCHO and our member community health centers urge the Senate to confirm Julie Su as Secretary of Labor without delay.”
