Project Reconnect
- In partnership with International Community Health Services, this project will assess the impact of culturally proficient HIT strategies for underserved Asian Americans in Seattle, WA who are at risk for and infected with hepatitis B. A needs assessment will be conducted and a new culturally appropriate intervention will be developed to address hepatitis B. Community member participation will be instrumental in the development of each. The results of this study will contribute to enhanced coordination of prevention, care, and treatment of viral hepatitis and serve as a model in developing culturally appropriate health care for other underserved populations.
