COVID-19 and Other Infectious Diseases Health Equity Response Network
AAPCHO and the Pacific Islander Center of Primary Care Excellence (PI-CoPCE) developed the COVID-19 & Other Infectious Diseases Health Equity Response Network (CHERN) to proactively engage, inform, and train the healthcare workforce to prevent and control the spread of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.

PROJECT GOALS
The COVID-19 & Other Infectious Diseases Health Equity Response Network aims to achieve the following long-term outcomes:
- Fewer healthcare-associated infections among AA and NH/PI patients and healthcare workers
- Fewer community-acquired infections across public and private settings in underserved AA and NH/PI communities
- Improved clinical outcomes among AA and NH/PI patients with or who are at increased risk for emerging infectious diseases.
