COVID-19 Community Health Worker (CHW) Workforce Collaborative
The Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) launched the Community Health Worker (CHW) Workforce Collaborative through funding provided by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Healthcare Systems Bureau. This platform provided the opportunity for AAPCHO to partner with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) that currently serve vulnerable Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (A/AA and NH/PI) communities. The initiative supported expansion of COVID-19 vaccine outreach and education initiatives led by the 55 FQHCs and CBOs in 32 states.
