Join us for Together for Better: A Welcome Back Reception on Saturday\, August 27\, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago to celebrate our collective achievements and progress in improving the health of AA and NH/PI communities with our members and other partners.  \nSpots are limited. SUMMARY:[Webinar] CDC’s Think. Test. Treat TB Campaign
DESCRIPTION:Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious threat in California and the nation. There are an estimated 13 million people in the US with latent TB infection (LTBI). California is especially impacted\, with 2 million people living with LTBI. Disproportionately impacted communities include Asian Americans\, Native Hawaiians\, Pacific Islanders. Latinos\, and African Americans. \nThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of TB Elimination recently released the first TB prevention campaign called Think. Test. Treat TB. This campaign aims to reach those most at risk for LTBI and their health providers to encourage TB testing and treatment before TB disease develops with devastating impacts. This is a multilingual communications campaign that particularly addresses the health disparity among Asian Americans. \nThe Coalition for a TB-free California and the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations are hosting a webinar with CDC officials to have a dialogue about this campaign\, the materials and messages produced\, and dissemination strategies. \nLearning Objectives:  \nAfter this webinar\, participants will be able to:  \n\n Be familiar with the Think. DESCRIPTION:The Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination Alliance (TEA) invites you to submit your application to the upcoming TB Learning Collaborative: “Quality Improvement Strategies for Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI) Screening\, Testing\, and Treatment in Asian\, Asian American (A/AA)\, Native Hawaiian\, and Pacific Islander (NH/PI)-Serving Health Centers: Electronic Health Record (EHR) Template Development”. Learn from clinical experts on how EHR plays a critical role in optimizing the latent TB infection care cascade. \nLearning Objectives:\nAfter this learning collaborative\, participants will be able to: \n\nDiscuss challenges and barriers around EHR modification and template development for LTBI screening\, testing\, and treatment;\nIdentify tools to understand and implement EHR templates for LTBI screening\, testing\, and treatment; and \nDevelop a roadmap for EHR template development processes for LTBI screening\, testing\, and treatment.\n\n\n\nIntended Audience: \nHealth centers\, health center look-alikes\, and other community health organizations interested and/or invested in TB/LTBI screening\, testing\, and treatment. DESCRIPTION:Join the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) for a Learning Collaborative (LC) to learn more about diabetes and pre-diabetes disparities among the Asian American community. Guest speakers from Joslin Diabetes Center’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative\, Emory University\, University of California\, San Francisco School of Medicine\, and University of California\, Santa Cruz will share in-depth knowledge and effective strategies to support Asian American patients at health centers through non-clinical approaches.
