CMJ1 – Transforming Health Centers: Leveraging Telehealth and Digital Literacy for Health Equity and Innovation

Monday, August 26, 2024
8:45 AM – 10:00 AM ET
Hyatt Regency, Atlanta, GA – Embassy CD

As patients increasingly engage with digital care options, it’s critical for health centers to enhance these capabilities to ensure convenient, accessible, and patient-centered care. Telehealth has become essential for continuity of care and primary care innovation, making health centers the providers of choice in their communities. In this session, participants will hear from two health centers—Duffy Health Center and Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center—on leveraging telehealth to address priorities such as patient experience, access to care, provider engagement, and health equity. The session will also discuss developing a culturally competent digital health workforce and empowering health centers to reflect and serve their communities effectively. By tailoring telehealth and digital literacy programs to diverse needs, health centers can provide equitable, patient-centered care, remaining leaders in the evolving digital healthcare landscape.
