The brief, Asian Patients Confront Multi Pandemics: Racism, Immigration, and COVID-19, is based on a KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation) survey conducted in-language of more than 1,000 health center patients at AAPCHO member health centers—Asian Health Services (AHS), International Community Health Services (ICHS), HOPE Clinic, and North East Medical Services.
The policy brief underscores the health and mental health challenges affecting Asian patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and the intersecting burdens, including anti-Asian hate and fears and confusion of changing federal immigration policies. In the brief, AAPCHO recommends that federal policymakers take action to address these multi pandemics.
