WASHINGTON—The Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) proudly announces the receipt of a one time transformative grant from philanthropist, MacKenzie Scott. This generous contribution, part of the MacKenzie Scott Foundation’s monumental $2.1 billion distribution to 360 organizations globally, positions AAPCHO as a key beneficiary among nearly 30 entities dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of Asian American (AA), Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (NH/PI) communities.
“I cannot help but begin with a profound expression of gratitude to Ms. Scott and the MacKenzie Scott Foundation for this generous gift,” said Jeffrey B. Caballero, executive director. “This funding will strengthen AAPCHO, our work, and our community, allowing us the opportunity and resources to drive innovation for community-led and community-focused approaches to improve the health and well being of our communities.”
“We extend our gratitude to AAPCHO Members, partners, and allies for our collective work to uplift, support, and scale solutions generated by AA and NH/PI-serving CHCs and community members,” said Jen Lee, deputy director. “This funding will assist our fulfilling our mission to promote advocacy, collaboration, and leadership to improve the health status and access of AAs and NH/PIs within the United States, its territories, and freely associated states and achieve our vision of a future where our communities are guaranteed access to affordable, high quality, and culturally and linguistically proficient health care to underserved communities across the United States, its territories, and freely associated states.”
